Maleny Historical Society
The Society is based at the Maleny Historical Village, which is set on the bank of Walkers Creek and sits proudly at the entrance to the Maleny township.
Guided tours are available on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm or by appointment.
A living village in every sense
The Maleny Cultural & Historical Society, established in 1991, is a not-for-profit organisation that collects, restores, stores and displays memorabilia showing past lifestyles in the Maleny district for current and future generations to appreciate.
The Historical Village is shared with other groups including the Maleny Men’s Shed, the Blackall Range Horseless Carriage Club and the Pioneer Ukulele Club. We welcome school visits, family reunions and bus tours by appointment. Our kitchen facilities are available for hire.
The Village is open to the public on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, or by appointment with our live-in caretaker who can be contacted on (07) 5499 9030.
To donate to our collection, you need to fill in a Gift Agreement form, which you can download from this website or obtain from the Village caretaker.
